Exhibition Review: Return to the Sphinx (DAWN Gallery May 08, 2004) In Nagori's current exhibition, which he says will be his last, he doffs his cap to Syed Nayab Hussain by titling his exhibition: Return to the Sphinx. The long-time human rights/anti-nuclear activist, Nagori, in exhibition at the VM Gallery, continues to protest against the injustice and cruelty of man to his fellow beings, tempered by a mood of sardonic observation.

Nagori - A focussed painter (Business Recorder May 22, 2004) It seems that Nagori paints to protest. His recent exhibition of paintings 'Return to the Sphinx' at V. M. Art gallery, where 39 pieces of his work were on display, all had the anger that a sensitive man would frequently lay open to show his strong disapproval of the inequalities that divide and differentiate among people. He fearlessly criticizes excesses against human rights, hypocrisy in matters of human relations and the social system that does not resist evil - rather accepts it as part of clannish social justice.

The Art of Protest (Newsline p122, June 04) Insightful, fearless and often funny, his paintings continue to challenge the status quo, and he still attacks with deadly accuracy.
